Allison Pareis, Show Hostess

Allison Pareis started collecting Breyers as a child in the early 1990’s when she was gifted several models for her birthday and Christmas in an effort to help sate her passion for equines. Little did her parents know what they started and her collection rapidly grew. In high school, thanks to her friend Kelly Vandeman (now Neve of Lane Saddlery), she discovered live showing at small events held in local tack shops. Eventually she and Kelly ventured to a few Great Lakes Congress Shows, Breyerfest Live, and their first NAN showing mostly in performance. Allison left the showing portion of the hobby for a few years during college, but slowly came back in 2012 at Breyerfest Live. Her emphasis has changed now to halter and in the last few years, she has taken a special interest in collectibility. She began hosting local, hobby get-togethers a few years ago in the form of swap meets (where she met Lynn) and creative customizing and painting parties. She also started judging at live shows and looks forward to continue promoting the hobby in fun and creative ways. You can find her frequently with a camera in hand as media is her specialty. Allison also loves horses racing and horseback riding. When she is not model horsing, you’ll find her hanging out with her husband Stan and their two dachshunds Hairy Truman and Abbey Road.
