Announcer
Our announcer for the FAMulous Show is an affable, bearded chap named Stan Sollars. This will be his second time announcing a model horse show, but he has attended several, including a pile of Breyerfests supporting his model-horse-enthusiast wife, Allison Pareis.
Stan has celebrated over 50 years in broadcasting(yes, he started young). He teaches audio production in the Department of Media at Ball State University. He also is the weekday morning news anchor of BSU’s “Morning Edition” on the school’s Indiana Public Radio. Stan has won 38 Best Newscast awards from the Indiana Associated Press Broadcasters, Indiana’s Society of Professional Journalists, and the Radio and Television News Directors Association (now RTDNA), two Emmy Awards, and five Faculty Member of the Year awards from BSU Telecommunications students. Stan also does his own laundry, takes out the trash three out of four times a month, and feeds his and Allison’s two dogs an average of 1.2 times each day, in a given month.
You may also recognize him from his mini version, Action Stan. They can frequently be seen dressed identically at Breyerfest and other model horse shows throughout the year!
